Salary: £26,325 per annum pro rata

About the Role
We are looking for an organised, proactive, and community-focused individual to join our team as a Healthwatch Research Support and Community Events Co-ordinator.
This role plays a central part in supporting the smooth delivery of community engagement events and research projects across North Northamptonshire. You will work closely with the Healthwatch Service Manager and Engagement/Research team to help coordinate activities, support volunteers, and ensure public feedback is transformed into accessible, high-quality reports that help shape local services.
This is a varied and rewarding role ideal for someone who enjoys organisation, communication, event coordination, community engagement, and making a positive difference.
Key Responsibilities
Engagement Coordination and Event Management
- Support the planning and delivery of Healthwatch events across North Northamptonshire
- Coordinate event logistics, including venue bookings and equipment
- Design and distribute promotional materials such as posters and leaflets
- Promote activities through social media platforms
Research Support and Accessible Communications
- Support and deliver research projects where appropriate
- Undertake literature reviews and research into best practice
- Produce professional reports in line with Healthwatch branding
- Translate complex information into clear, accessible Plain English
- Create accessible documents including Easy Read formats
- Manage the printing and production of promotional and research materials
Volunteer Management
- Recruit, train, and support volunteers
- Coordinate volunteer availability and maintain volunteer systems
- Support volunteers to develop skills for engagement activities and events
Team and Business Support
- Provide administrative support for meetings, including minute-taking and agenda preparation
- Prepare and process monthly expense reports
- Act as a friendly first point of contact for the Healthwatch team
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to increase the visibility and impact of Healthwatch services
- Follow organisational policies including Safeguarding and GDPR requirements
